specialised wedding pianist
Matthew Sharp is a versatile pianist based in Gloucestershire. He is available for weddings and private events.
Matthew will personalise your wedding to make it a truly beautiful occasion and unlike many pianists he will not just stick to a song list. Any specific songs, artists or styles can be requested, including classical, jazz, swing, popular song, love songs, 50's and 60's music - right the way up to 2022 hits!
If your location does not have a piano... Matthew will bring his own equipment. He uses a portable digital piano that can be set up in a few minutes. If needed Matthew can move his piano throughout the day to suit your event.

Wedding Ceremony
As guests are seated: Relaxing background music as guests take their seats. You can choose the songs if you wish.
Entrance: This can be anything, I have played all sorts! Bear in mind this normally lasts 30-60 seconds - I will discuss with the couple which part of the music they would like and arrange it accordingly. If you're not sure what a song would sound like as a piano solo I can record a short arrangement to give you a good idea.
Signing of the register: If you have any friends or family who are performers this can be a lovely touch, I have often accompanied singers.
Recession: Mendelssohn's Wedding March is the traditional option, though again anything is possible!
